Sleepovers and Travel

Travel with nieces and nephewsSleepovers and Travel

There is nothing more fun than that first sleepover with your nieces or nephews.  They are ready to come and stay with you for the first time.  It’s a great moment for both of you.

I have such great memories of when each of my nieces was old enough and ready for a sleepover with Auntie and they arrived at my doorstep with pillow, stuffed animal and little bag in hand enjoy some great one on one time together.

Sleepovers are full of fun from crafts, to watching movies, reading books together, baking and so much more.

As they get older, the world opens up for all of and that’s when trips can be planned together and adventures can be had any where in the world.  When you, their parents and your niece/nephew are ready, then trips for more than one night and away from either homes becomes a great opportunity.

I know some Aunties that have gone on the most amazing adventures around the world with their nieces and nephews.  Offering them experiences and adventures that they wouldn’t normally get to enjoy is an incredible gift that we can share together.

I’ve been planning a birthday milestone trip with each of my nieces, but until then I’ve been lucky enough to travel with them and their family on many occasions.  Even though their parents are not too far away, there is so much great Auntie time when we are all together on a wonderful trip.  One day we will travel just one on one, but until then, just to help them learn the joy of travel, makes me happy.

From sleepovers to travel with the family or one on one trips, we’ve done it. Check out our Sleepovers & Travel posts.

As in: I can't go visit my nephew on his 3rd birthday because I'm in QuarAuntine due to COVID-19. 😔
